Tis the Season to Be.....

Yes I know we will be hearing the Christmas music long enough. I am looking at a list I started and I am realizing there is so much to do for Christmas. In my family we have decided this year that my Brothers and sister will do a gift exchange of homemade gifts. I have the ideas and I know what I want to do for each one, just need to find the time and energy. I am also trying to complete some gifts for Alyson's Christmas as well as my Husbands family. I am keeping myself busy! I am happy with making my gifts for family as I feel that it means more to those who receive them instead of just receiving some gift from the store that has little thought or effort behind it. I am also one of those people who loves crafts so it all works out in the end. I am also going to suggest we do home made gifts every year for both my family and my husbands family. it would make life so much more delightful. So I am listing the things I need to do and I am sure that I will get everything done. I just need to get in gear. Have things to cut out, things to mod podge, things to write and things to wrap. I do also have some shopping to accomplish too.

Alyson is almost a week out from her Tubes being put in and I am thinking she is not feeling well. We are seeing her "digging" at her ears more often and she is sleeping a lot more than normal. We are going to be going in for her recheck tomorrow and I am definitely going to bring this to the doctors attention. My daughter is so hard to read. I mean she is the one that I may notice just a slight difference in her mannerism's or in her mood and that is my only information to deduce that she is not feeling well.

I am off nap time should be over soon and then we are going to do some painting for Christmas gifts!

As I am sitting down to write this I am looking at what is left of My Sweet Baby girls first year. On November 30th my mirical will be ONE! Where did the time go to. I have struggle with getting on to write my thoughts and my ideas down as she has kept me very busy. From her first tooth to her first steps and everything in between, Alyson has been a blessing to me and my husband. As we are nearing the most hectic time of year for us we are adding another event to our schedual, Alysons First Birthday Party. I am planning a very small affair with her Grandparents Aunts and Unclesand a few very close friends of mine and Pauls. Nothing grand no Pony or Carneval Rides just small and close. I have decide that I am going to decorate simple and I have some entertaining Ideas for Scrap book. I am excited, sad and kind of relieved we made it through the first year.
Alyson has learned so may things so far and i know there are so many more for her to learn. We just struggled through 2 months of Ear infection after ear infection and the resulting tubes in the ears surgery. Alyson has been a trooper through the whole ordeal. She is seldom fussy or crabby and she is almost always still smiling when i know she must hurt or feel poor. I am so proud of her. I have to say I am learning more and more myself and I am looking forward to all of the things we will do together in the future.

A few of the things we have done this year are listed next:
4th of July fire works
Swimming in a creek
First tooth
Camping at Flandrau State Park
Flower Girl in Uncle and Aunties Wedding
A 22 hour Car ride to Virginia
The Mountains
The ocean and our first ocean swim
Washington D.C.
A 26 hour Car ride home with some stops to look at some very cool things
Seeing Kittens Born
First steps with out help
First Surgery (ear tubes)
First Halloween

WOW what a busy couple of months we have had. And those are just the highlights. Now to make it through her last "First Holiday" Thanksgiving. Just one week before her first Birthday.  I am Hoping to improve my Blogging activity now, As she is getting more predictable for napping. I am also going to add in some of Alyson's favorite foods and recipies. I have a happy eater.

My first one is:

Hamburger Gravy

1 pound Hamburger
1 small chopped onion

Fry these all up together.

1 can  condensed cream of Maushroom soup, undiluted

I add this to the meat and onion, then I add about a half to 3/4 can of milk to the pan. I like to have a thicker gravy.

All this simmers for about 5 minutes. Then I serve the gravy over mashed potatoes.

Alyson likes to eat this all up. She loves it.

That is all the time I have for today. I hope to return soon to share more of my world with everyone.
