I am a mommy of a very cute little girl who is the center of my world. I am a wife to my loving husband going on 13 years. I am a daughter. I am a friend. I am many things. I decided to give it a try at being a blogger. My most important role right now is Mommy. November 30th of 2011 I had our daughter. She has been such a blessing to my husband and I. After 11 years of thinking we would never have our own baby, we now have our baby. I was diagnosed with PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome in 2001. It was a devistating to both of us. I had always thought I would be having babies of my own. In 2010 I had a life changing procedure done. I had a Gastric Bypass. I was doing good too. I had lost 140 pounds at the 6 month mark and I was able to enjoy the things in life I had preveously thought I would never enjoy. In March of 2011 I thought I had gotten the flu. I was tired, nausous and over all felt horrible. My husband said lets take a pregnancy test and rule that out since we had always had negative tests I thought we would be in for a negative test. So when the test was positive we need to read the box 3 times before we believed it. That was March 31. I called my little sister and when she answered the phoe I said "Happy Birthday Auntie Mindy" her response was" Great who is Pregnant now?" I told her it was me. So much happened so fast I can't hardly remember it all. She was excited. We also knew we wanted her to be the baby's GodMother. The next day April Fools Day, we called my parents and told them we wanted to meet them for dinner. My mom wanted to know why I tried to not tell her but we ended up telling her or she would not agree to come to dinner. She wanted proof from the doctor. We did we got a clinic test to confirm. We would be having a baby in the beginning of December. December 3rd was our new magical Date. Oh the excitement. We slowly began telling our family and friends. Our world was going to forever change.
Since I was only seven months out from my surgery we had to change my eating habits and my lifestyle once again. I was now going to be eating 8-12 meals a day to get enough food in to support us both. I continued to have a healthy pregnancy. My first appointment of November was a new shocker. Our baby was breech. All of our plans to have a natural birth had to change. We schedualed a c-section for the end of the month. The rest of the month flew by. It was a good time getting ready for baby and the holidays.
I will save that story for my next posting.
